Planning Applications for Conservatories and other 'development'
The Parish Council has noticed a recent increase in the number of retrospective Planning Applications, particularly for conservatories, where the householder had been advised by the builder that planning permission was not required only to subsequently discover that it was.
The problem lies in the detail of the Planning Regulations where the size of the house, the size of the extension and the existance, size and proximity of any other building, such as a garage, all affect the planning requirement.
